Young Journalist Academy – Valley Primary Academy farm

March 5, 2019 By julia

Another exciting article from the Young Journalist Academy from our pupils at Valley Primary Academy, telling us about their exciting news of the farm!

‘Valley Primary School in Norfolk is building their own farm.  It is being built so the children can develop their skills for life by learning how to be responsible and how to care for others. The idea began when Mrs Leach, a member of staff at the school shared her happy childhood memories of growing up on a farm and commented that she had found it very beneficial. After doing some research it was discovered that there is strong evidence that having animals around you as a child supports good health. Mrs Bush, the head teacher decided to put a bid together to try for this fantastic project and the wish has been granted.’
