HR Advisor

Salary:                         £14.58 – £15.47 per hour (pay award pending), depending on experience and qualifications; (£28,431.56 – £30,163.04 full time equivalent)

Job Type:                      15 hours per week (ideally over 3 days), permanent post, all year round OR term time + 3 weeks (41 weeks)

Location                        Primarily working from home, however this is a Trust based role and there will be a requirement to work at Trust Academy sites from time to time for meetings (hot desking facilities are available at our Henderson Green Primary Academy)

Start Date:                   October 2022

We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual, who is committed to helping our Trust, and ultimately our pupils, succeed.  This is a brand new role to further strengthen our HR team and enable the Trust to drive forward, delivering our people vision, strategy and processes.  You will champion and lead on employee relations casework, in particular absence management.  Wellbeing of our staff is important to us, and we have big ambitions in this area!  You will also assist with HR metrics and KPI reporting, along with supporting the wider team and involvement in projects, such as recruitment and policy development.  

This is a part time role, and we are open to discuss how the hours could be worked. We think 5 hours across 3 days would work well, but are open to suggestions.  It’s really about finding the person with the right skills and experience.  Please let us know your preference for working pattern on your application form.

The successful candidate will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or the commitment to work towards (which we will support)
  • CIPD Associate membership
  • Proven HR experience, particularly of ER casework of 3 to 5 years
  • HR experience in the education sector or similar (e.g. health, local authority) working from comprehensive policies and terms and conditions
  • The ability to work effectively within a small team, where there is cross over and involvement from others
  • Thorough understanding of HR processes, particularly disciplinary and capability procedures, the statutory codes and best practice
  • Procedural and compliance orientated approach
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
  • Confidence and be capable to give advice, and write formal letters

Attendance & Admissions Officer

Location: The HEART Education Trust, Heartsease Primary Academy, Rider Haggard Road, Norwich NR7 9UE; this is a Trust based role and will require the post holder to move across the Trust sites, with an element of home working

Salary:                  Scale E £10.86-£11.52 per hour (£21,167.88 – £22,457.00 full time equivalent)

Job Type:             Permanent; part-time 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

                             Term time (38 weeks) plus one week

Start Date:          1 September 2022

We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual who is committed to helping our pupils succeed. You will work with the Academy Headteachers and other school staff, parents, pupils and outside agencies to ensure the positive attendance of pupils across the Trust, under the instruction of the Head of Pastoral and Behaviour. You will be able to maintain attendance data on the school system in an accurate and timely basis, discuss with parents/carers reasons for their child’s absence and work to improve attendance.  You will also support the admissions process and actively engage with new parents in a positive way. You will be able to communicate effectively with parents/carers both face to face and by telephone, email or letter.

You will also:

  • have a minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • have experience of working within a school environment
  • have a basic knowledge of school attendance systems and processes, ideally with experience of using Bromcom or other similar MIS software
  • have the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
  • have the ability to convey information clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, to colleagues, parents, pupils etc
  • maintain efficient record keeping systems
  • be flexible and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • be enthusiastic and have a sense of humour
  • have good ICT skills

Minibus Driver

Are you an experienced driver? Would you like to play a key role in our community supporting our children have access to education?

Location: The HEART Education Trust, Lingwood Primary Academy, Station Road, Lingwood NR13 4AZ

Salary:           £9.50 per hour (pay award pending)

Job Type:      18 hours per week Mon-Fri morning & afternoon

(7.45-9.15am Mon-Thurs, Fri 7.45am – 12.15pm & every afternoon 2.45-4.15pm)  

                        Term time only

Fixed term post until July 2023 (poss. to extend)

Start Date:   3 October 2022 or as soon as possible

We are looking to appoint a Minibus Driver to join our friendly staff team.  Duties will include driving the school minibus to transport pupils and staff safely and responsibly between our Trust academies in Lingwood and Norwich.  The role is 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time), working both the morning and afternoon school runs (we will consider just morning or afternoon sessions if preferred).  You will have a friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach.  Applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence and be over the age of 22.
