Salary: £10.86-£11.52 hourly rate (£21,167.88 – £22,457.00 full time equivalent)
Hours: 32.5 hours
Contract Type: This is a part-time, permanent position
(term time only, plus one additional week; 39 weeks)

We are looking for an effective and reliable individual to appoint as a Cover Supervisor at our Henderson Green Primary Academy, working across the school in both Key Stage 1, 2 and EYFS.
As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise whole classes to cover short term absence of teachers and provide PPA cover (to allow teachers to carry out professional duties and training). The Cover Supervisor will give instructions for the lesson, as provided by the teacher, and keep pupils on task while maintaining good order. As a Cover Supervisor you work under the direction of the class teacher to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching of pupils, including those with special educational needs.
A degree level qualification, or equivalent, would also be an advantage; however, candidates with relevant experience should not be discouraged from applying.

You will have:-
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Minimum of GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Previous experience of working with children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or 2
- Previous experience of working with children with SEND
- The ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly
- Good influencing skills
- The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher but also to work independently and use initiative appropriately
- Enthusiasm, energy and be hard-working
